Polyvinyl Films, Inc. is currently seeking a Human Resources Director to join their team in Sutton, MA.  Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Human Resources Director will be a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for providing strategic as well as hands on tactical day-to-day human resources support in the areas of recruitment, onboarding and orientation, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, compliance and training.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to lead a human resources function and play a key role in building and developing an HR team as the company makes plans to grow and modernize all of its business functions. The Human Resources Director will require the ability to lead and assume responsibility for all HR functions, and ultimately grow a full HR team.  Given the nature and responsibilities of the role, the Human Resources Director will require flexibility to be available outside of regular business hours as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and managers to understand the organizations needs and goals in developing short and long-range HR strategies
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction on human resources best practices; maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Lead, advise, and serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management in all areas of HR, including hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, professional development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, workforce planning and retention
  • Communicate, maintain, update and enforce company policies as stated in the employee handbook; provide all HR support and communications to management and employees
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee human resources/benefits related questions
  • Work with contracted legal counsel and external human resource consultants on various matters
  • Manage all matters related to temporary employment agencies
  • Perform new hire orientation and provide a positive onboarding experience
  • Manage the benefit administration process and retirement plan administration including benefit eligibility dates, review of completed benefit forms for accuracy, and submission of enrollment in a timely manner
  • Coordinate the performance review process and help coach managers on employee relations
  • Assist with the open enrollment process including communication with insurance carriers; reconcile and pay monthly insurance invoices
  • Provide departed employees with information regarding termination of benefits
  • Process disability and workers’ compensation claims and unemployment claims
  • Perform exit interviews; provide feedback to senior management
  • Maintain employee records ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality
  • Ensure labor law and required OSHA postings and company bulletin boards are current
  • Manage company learning and dissemination of information related to employee health, welfare and safety

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required in human resources, business, or a related concentration
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in human resources; experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, benefits, recruitment, organizational development, employee relations, and employee engagement
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in all state and federal employment laws for overall business compliance
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization
  • High degree of professionalism to maintain company and employee confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; prior experience with HRIS systems a plus
  • Spanish speaking or ability to understand Spanish a plus

We are currently seeking entry-level, full-time Production Line Operators to support the Production Department at our manufacturing facility in Sutton, MA. Reporting directly to the Foreman/Assistant Foreman, the Production Line Operators will provide support to the Production Department in a number of key areas including troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues and identifying and correcting quality concerns.

This is a hands-on position with on the job training available and opportunities for career growth and development. This role is a step up in terms of responsibility; it includes the continued verification of film specifications and winder line set-up. Reporting directly to the Foreman/Assistant Foreman, the Manufacturing Production Assistant will provide support to the production line in a number of key areas including troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues and identifying and correcting quality concerns. This is a hands-on position with on the job training available and opportunities for career growth and development. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and work in a collaborative team-oriented environment. These are full-time, benefits eligible positions.
